  • Ever since Lady Gaga told Howard Stern that she had been raped by a music producer when she was 19, it’s all anyone talks about. Maybe she’s starting to regret saying anything about it in the first place.

In an interview on the Stern show earlier this week, Gaga spoke about her much ballyhooed performance at the last SXSW event. In that show she was joined by performance artist Millie Brown, whose own act centers around vomiting paint. Gaga let Brown vomit on her while singing her song “Swine.”

When Stern brought up the event, Gaga responded that a man “could never, ever degrade me as much as I degrade myself.” She revealed that she had been raped by a music producer and had since sought therapy over the incident.

Once that story hit the media, it sparked another remark. This one was from Kesha’s attorney, Mark Geragos, who is representing her in her lawsuit battle with producer Lukasz “Dr. Luke” Gottwald. Kesha claims Dr. Luke verbally and sexually abused her when they worked together. But Geragos claimed in a Twitter exchange that it was Dr. Luke who had also raped Lady Gaga.

Reps for Lady Gaga deny that the man in question was Dr. Luke. And Dr. Luke’s reps released a statement denying it, as well.

“Mark Geragos’ statement is completely false and defamatory,” the statement reads. “Luke met Lady Gaga twice for less than half an hour total in those two meetings combined. He has never been alone with her and never touched her. Neither meeting was in that time frame reported.”

But Geragos is sticking to his story, despite both parties denying it.

“I said it because it’s true.” Geragos told TMZ. He even referenced the recent Bill Cosby scandal. “The Cosby allegations have now made others more courageous about coming out.”
