  • Kristen Wiig and her Ghostbusters co-stars took a break from filming on Saturday to visit some sick kids in a children’s hospital.

While filming their Ghostbusters reboot in Boston, Kristen Wiig and co-stars Leslie Jones, Kate McKinnon and Melissa McCarthy noticed a sign in the window of nearby Floating Hospital for Children at Tufts Medical Center that read, “Who ya gonna call?”

Kristen Wiig, Leslie Jones, Kate McKinnon and Melissa McCarthy answered the call in full ghostbusting gear, to the thrill of all the patients.

Kristen Wiig and the gang showed up with proton packs and ghost traps and met their little fans (and big fans), taking pictures and generally brightening everyone’s day.

They also spent time scanning for ghosts, checking under beds, and making sure the hospital was clear.

Even the staff was excited to host Kristen Wiig and her crew.

Brooke Hynes, vice president of public affairs and communications for Tufts Medical Center, said, “They were a true delight to have today.”

She added, “They were so kind to all the kids and their parents. They took their time in each room visiting children as young as a few months to teens. We cannot thank them enough for the happiness and excitement they created.”
