A source told E! News that the reality star is embarrassed by the situation.
The source added that the two had survived problems before, but this issue might trigger the end of their marriage.
Josh finally confessed that he had an Ashley Madison account. He had been denying that he joined the extramarital affairs site prior to being outed. He said somebody must be using his name and number. However, the profile information leaked by hackers match Josh’s credit card number, two email addresses and home address in New York.
"I signed up for the site foolishly and ignorantly with a group of friends and I deeply apologize for any embarrassment or pain I have brought to my wife and family," he said in a statement he gave to Us Weekly.
The 46-year-old added, "We both look forward to moving past this and getting on with our lives."
According to reports, Josh has been an active member for three years. His membership started in 2011. He has made 62 paid transactions worth thousands of dollars. The company policy has a money-back guarantee for those who are not able to have an affair.
The Eboost founder seemed to stop being active on the site when he joined his wife on the sixth season of The Real Housewive of New York in 2014, an insider said.
