Recently, Bell sat down with Us Weekly and said she doesn’t want to be one of those mothers who raises her child through a nanny, nor does she want to be away from home more than she has to be.

“I’m back with baby full-time, which is so nice,” she said. “I want to be very hands on. I want to cook for my family and feel present for them. I’m always missing her when I’m not there.”

The 32-year-old also spoke about working with husband Dax Shepard of Parenthood fame, and says she often asks him about acting roles, since he’s a screenwriter who’s in pretty popular demand.

In 2010 the two worked on the film When in Rome and in 2012 they collaborated on the movie Hit and Run.

But it’s not the last time Bell and Shepard are planning to work together. In fact, Bell says her husband is a master at bringing different actors together and melding some of his ideas with theirs, which makes collaborating with him fun as well as productive.

“He’s been hired to write so many other projects for other people,” said Bell. “I’m always walking into the room and say, ‘Well hey, if there’s a part in there that you could throw the old bags’ way that’d be great’……I would of course work with him again in a second. He’s able to work with his friends and me in a very collaborative way.”

And it seems Shepard also has some great cooking skills, because his spaghetti dish is completely marvelous, says Bell. “He does a really mean spaghetti dish,” she said. “The smell comes through the entire home. It may even be better on the second day. He makes it for the week. It’s very good.”
