Khloe Kardashian has spent a lot of time encouraging her estranged husband Lamar Odom on his road to recovery since he nearly died from an accidental overdose at a Nevada brothel in October. During a conversation with Kelly Ripa and Michael Strahan on Live! With Kelly and Michael on Friday, Khloe shared some exciting news about Lamar's progress.
It was just over a week ago that Lamar checked out of the hospital and into a rehab facility to further his recovery. For the first time yet, it sounds like he is making great strides in that recovery.

“It’s such a relief,” Khloe Kardashian said. “It was terrifying and scary. No one knew what was going to happen. And what’s crazy is because he’s an athlete, I really think having so many years of working out every single day--he wasn’t even walking three weeks ago, and now he’s walking.”
She adds that when she had Lamar transferred from Cedars Sinai Medical Center that he left on his own two feet.
“We were able to leave the hospital — he was able to walk out of the hospital,” she said. “And it was such a great thing. You get strolled on in there, he didn’t really even know where he was, and he [was] able to walk out on his own. So I’m happy for him and how he’s trying, and he’s really making great strides. And that’s a testament to his own will and desire to get better.”
Khloe Kardashian also dished about her new, shorter hairstyle that is very attractive on her 40 pounds lighter frame.

“I cut all my hair off because I was in the hospital ad I just felt like I needed--like once I got out of there for a minute, I was like, ‘I need to get rid of this negativity,’” she explained.
Khloe Kardashian must feel like a huge weight has been lifted--not only through cutting off all that hair, but from Lamar Odom's recent improvements.
Hopefully Khloe realizes the impact she has no doubt had on his recovery.
