Kendall Jenner posed nude for photographer Russell James just days after big sister Kim Kardashian appeared nude of the cover of GQ. So how come she doesn’t want Kim attending her upcoming Marc Jacobs catwalk debut? One might expect that Kendall–clearly following in her sister’s footsteps–might want Kim Kardashian there for that extra boost of confidence. Kendall Jenner doesn’t quite see it that way, however.

In fact, the new nude Kendall Jenner shots appeared on sister Kourtney Kardadashian’s Instagram account–Kourtney calls Kendall her muse–just after Kendall begged Kim Kardashian not to show up for the Marc Jacobs show.

“I’m doing this for me, on my own. God, I love my family but this is my thing, it’s me,” Kendall said during an interview with Style magazine.

This was Kendall Jenner’s first time covering the Sunday Times publication.

It’s not that Kendall doesn’t love her big sister. Instead she doesn’t want her stealing her thunder. Kendall has worked hard to get to where she is in her modeling career, and she wants all eyes on her while she struts her stuff on the Marc Jacobs catwalk. Who can blame her? Would you want Kim Kardashian in the audience stealing your thunder if you were working hard to make a name for yourself?

Speaking of names, rumor has it Kendall Jenner has dropped the ‘Jenner‘ from her name for modeling purposes. This sounds like yet another way of distancing herself from her reality show family. Is the Keeping Up With the Kardashian star leaving her family behind or just trying to go it completely on her own?
