  • Katie Holmes has been a busy lady lately, starring on Broadway and working on her fashion line, Holmes & Yang. But earlier this month, Holmes announced through her reps that she wouldn’t be working with her design partner, Jeanne Yang, on any future projects.

“They have different approaches to absolutely everything: how to run the company, how to promote it and how to handle the press. It is much better that they go their separate ways now,” a source said. “The conflict isn’t about any one thing, it’s sort of about everything.”

Although the duo showed at New York Fashion Week in 2012, they have reportedly grown apart over recent months and have decided to go their separate ways. But Katie is using the time to go back to television, where she got her start. The 35-year old actress will be starring in an as-yet untitled drama for ABC directed by Richard LaGravenese which will focus on two New York socialites and the seduction, lies, and betrayal that come with power. Rufus Sewell is also attached to the project, with Holmes playing an “Audrey Hepburn-like” character.

Holmes hasn’t been seen much on television lately; in 2011 she took a star turn in the mini-series “The Kennedys” as Jackie O, and she did a short stint on “How I Met Your Mother”, but the former flame of Tom Cruise has been busy pursuing other things.

As for Holmes & Yang, the designers’ celebrity fans–which include Rihanna–will be saddened to learn that the fashions will no longer be available.
