Kate Gosselin has her hands full being a single mother with custody of her eight children with her ex, Jon Gosselin.

According to court documents recently released detailing Jon’s fears and observances concerning Kate Gosselin, it may be too much for her to handle.

The documents, dating back to 2010 right after their nasty divorce, accuse Kate Gosselin of a number of things including abandoning her kids with a teenage babysitter for days at a time and sending moldy food in their school lunches.

The documents shed some light on Jon Gosselin’s fear for his kids in Kate Gosselin’s care.

In his “Father’s Statement of Issues”, there are allegations of various forms of abuse by Kate Gosselin.

It says, “On Tuesday, October 19, 2010, while bathing Leah, Father found large red welt on her read end. Later explained that it was from Mother, after Leah bit Hannah…Several children have come forward to Father complaining that they get hurt when Mother spanks them.”

The documents go on to say, “While Father would prefer that Mother not physically discipline the children, if Mother is going to do so, she should not do so to the point of leaving marks on the children.”

The documents also accuse Kate Gosselin of neglect.

It said, “Children must be properly dressed for weather. On Wednesday, October 20, 2010, Father attended field trip with Hannah, Joel, Leah, and Aaden. Boys were dressed in cowboy boots and girls were dressed in Ugg boots.”

It continued, “Ground was cold and wet and children slipped and got shoes dirty. Boys were dressed in pants and sweatshirt, with no undershirt or coat. It was 39 degrees that morning and children complained of being cold.”

The accusations against Kate Gosselin include more direct and disturbing complaints, as well.

Those documents state, “Father has requested that he be given the option of caring for the children when Mother is unable to care for the children overnight during her custodial time.”

They added, “Recently, Mother traveled with the two older children for six days and left the six younger children in the care of a 19-year-old babysitter. Father was available, however, Mother refused to let the children stay with father and/or allow Father to stay in her home with the children.”

And even worse than that, Kate Gosselin is accused of locking children in their rooms and refusing to let them out, as well as packing old, and sometimes moldy, food in their lunches if they don’t eat it the first time.

The documents say, “Mother must provide FRESH lunch each day for children. It has been observed by Father, and said by children that when they do not eat an item in their lunch, Mother packs that exact item the next day, and the next day until they eat it. Hannah reported having moldy strawberries, and Alexis said her sandwich is stale. Leah said she had some food left over from lunch for many weeks. This is unhealthy.”

It’s beyond me, as well. But, it’s intriguing and raises some questions.
