  • And just when you thought Kanye West and Jay Z couldn’t get any more famous – or richer – the music moguls have decided to enter a new partnership together.

They’ve already created songs and an album with each other, and even went on a seriously successful joint tour, so what else can they possibly do, you ask?

West’s design and content business, Donda, is to join forces with Jay Z’s Roc Nation. The partnership will focus on West’s international recording brand and his touring ventures.

Named after Kanye’s late mother, Donda was launched in 2009 when West collaborated with Louis Vuitton for a footwear collection. The rapper officially branded the company in 2011 when it designed packaging and other elements for the duo’s Watch the Throne tour.

Watch the pair in action, here:

Donda also designed two versions of West’s Nike Air Yeezy sneakers, and developed two capsule lines with APC. The company is also set to work on West’s upcoming Adidas line, which will hit stores in the fall.

Donda is also credited for designing the album packaging for Lil Wayne’s I Am Not a Human Being II, Pusha T’s My Name is My Name, and 2 Chainz’s Based on a T.R.U. Story. Additionally, Donda made an appearance in Cannes to showcase a visual companion to Cruel Summer, West’s 2012 compilation album.

With all that Donda is known for, don’t be fooled into thinking Roc Nation isn’t pulling its weight. Founded in 2008, Roc Nation has developed into a multi-tier entertainment company. Along with managing artists, songwriters, producers, and engineers, Jay Z’s company also has a film and television division and touring and merchandising branches, and is a record label, music publishing company, and sports agency.

Rihanna, J Cole, Timbaland, Shakira, Santigold, Melanie Fiona, Wale, and Haim, as well as many others, are all represented by Roc Nation.
