  • Judge Judy, whose real name is Judith Sheindlin, is selling her multi-million dollar beachfront penthouse condominium in Naples, Florida for a mansion–lakefront–that reports say is “nearby.”

The star of the TV show Judge Judy, Sheindlin and her husband have listed the condo at $11 million. It features 8,550 square feet of living space, including four bedrooms, six bathrooms, a sauna, and wraparound windows with dazzling views of Florida’s gulf coast. Two private elevators allow residents and their guests to ascend into the top-notch accommodations.

Collier County, Florida property records state Judge Judy and her husband bought the condo in 2005, and paid $6.9 million for it. The records also show Judge Judy and hubby are now the proud owners of a new property roughly a mile away.

It seems size does matter. Judge Judy’s new digs feature 10,000 square feet of living space with six bedrooms and 11 bathrooms. (Hopefully she has a really good cleaning person.) The new home looks over a manmade lake (very common in most of Florida). While the upgrade in size sounds amazing, not many people would want to give up a view of the Gulf Coast for a manmade lake.

Alas Judge Judy is now 73, and might appreciate the convenience of living in a house instead of a condo. Even with those two elevators, someone has to lug groceries from the car to the kitchen, and that’s not always easy.

In her role as Judge Judy, Judith Sheindlin has settled an unfathomable number of small-claims cases on TV for 20 years.
