  • Another celebrity memoir will be hitting bookshelves soon. (Or your Kindle and iPad, if that’s what you’re into.)

Two and a Half Men star Jon Cryer has signed a deal to write a memoir that will be released in Spring 2015. The actor signed a deal with publisher New American Library, a Penguin imprint.

The book will cover everything from Cryer’s infamous role as Duckie, the best friend of Molly Ringwald’s Andie Walsh in Pretty in Pink who pined for her while she was busy falling for Andrew McCarthy’s Blane McDonnagh, all the way to Cryer’s current role as Alan Harper on the hit CBS sitcom Two and a Half Men.

Many people are most excited about the Charlie Sheen section the book will more than likely cover. Being one of the people so close to the action when Sheen left Two and a Half Men, surely Cryer could shed some light on Sheen’s alleged substance abuse problems, his constant “winning” and other erratic behavior, as well as his public fight with show creator Chuck Lorre.

In a statement announcing the book, Cryer said, “In these times of truly global crisis when fear is outracing hope, I think we can all be grateful that the guy who played Duckie in Pretty in Pink is writing a book. It’ll be filled with just what you’d expect from me; juicy tidbits on international monetary policy, catty comments regarding agriculture in Central Asia and, of course, forbidden anecdotes about stamp collecting. And maybe I’ll talk about Charlie Sheen.”

While we aren’t currently sure what all Cryer will include in his memoir, New American Library promises the actor “will open up about friendships and relationships, pay tribute to his mentors and offer readers a front-row seat as he reminisces about his life and experiences in showbiz over the last 30 years.”

Cryer took to Twitter to post a link to The Hollywood Reporter article about his upcoming memoir with the simple caption, “This.”

Fans are excited about Cryers upcoming memoir.
