  • John Stamos and Lori Loughlin were once known as Uncle Jesse and Aunt Becky on the hit TV show Full House, and some fans thought the two might one day be a real life couple. That never happened, however, as marriages got in the way.

It was earlier this week that Lori Loughlin shared some interesting facts about why the two never got together once the show ended, but she does admit there are some feelings there.

“I was married at the time I was doing the show to my first husband,” she said. “That one didn’t work out.”

Last summer John Stamos said during an interview that Loughlin “could be the one that got away.”

“Well, that was very nice of him to say,” Loughlin admitted on Tuesday, but says even after she was divorced an opportunity never really presented itself for the two.

“Literally right when I was getting divorced, he met Rebecca [Romijn].”

He and Romijn were married from 1998 to 2005.

Lori Loughlin maintains to this day that John Stamos was by far the best looking guy on the whole Full House crew. And it doesn’t require special lenses to notice that he’s still an incredibly handsome man today at 50–and that she is still a beauty at 49. She remarried in 1997. She and hubby Mossimo Giannulli have two daughters–Isabella and Olivia.

John Stamos recently said of Loughlin, “She’s just the model of a perfect person, a beautiful person, and we’re still great friends. We just don’t have sex, but we’re great friends.”

Were you among those Full House fans who really wished Uncle Jesse and Aunt Becky had become a couple in real life? Was it a disappointment to you at a young age to learn that they weren’t?
