  • A couple of weeks ago, fans of Jimmy Kimmel Live were saddened by the news that Frank Potenza, the beloved “Uncle Frank,” had passed away.

Uncle Frank, who played the loveable security guard on the show, participated in many of the show’s best bits. Potenza, who was 77, was a New York City police officer and former security guard in Las Vegas.

As far as the cause of death is concerned, Jimmy Kimmel has said that Uncle Frank had “a few different kinds of cancer.”

Last night, Kimmel tearfully unveiled a tribute to Frank, one that has now hit YouTube. It features some of his most memorable moments from his many years as an integral part of the show and is set to Sinatra’s “My Way.”

    Check it out below –

Before he played the video tribute on his show last night, Kimmel said that Uncle Frank spent his last days in the hospital surrounded by family. He also showed the audience old photos and shared stories about the late man who obviously meant a lot to him.
