Jill Duggar Dillard of 19 Kids and Counting fame and her husband Derick Dillard celebrated their first wedding anniversary on Sunday.

In addition to sharing a ‘Happy Father’s Day’ post on the Duggar family website, sharing their love with Jill’s father, Jim Bob Duggar, the couple celebrated Derick Dillard’s first Father’s Day as well.

It was certainly a day of celebrations for Jill Duggar Dillard and her family.

In celebration of their wedding anniversary, Jill took to social media, sharing a photo from the couple’s honeymoon to her Instagram account.

“Happy #anniversary to the man of my dreams @derickdillard I can’t believe it’s already been a year since I had the privilege of saying “I do”! The longer I’m married to you the more I fall in love and realize how incredibly blessed I am to have you as my hubby! I’ll love you forever! #honeymoon #capehatteras,” Jill Duggar Dillard captioned the shot.

Derick Dillard also made note of the couple’s anniversary on his Instagram account.

He shared a shot of him holding the new Mrs. Jill Duggar Dillard on their wedding day.

“One year ago today, I married my best friend. I love you with all my heart @jillmdillard The last year has been the best of my life! I am beyond grateful to God to have the privilege of serving our Lord and Savior with you for the rest of my life. You are an amazing woman, wife, and mother. My love for you grows every day. Happy 1st anniversary. #Proverbs19:14,” he captioned the photo.

Jill Duggar Dillard didn’t forget that the day held extra meaning for her husband, as it was his very first Father’s Day. She shared a sweet Instagram shot of baby Israel lying on top of his daddy.

“Happy Father’s Day to @derickdillard the sweetest hubby in the whole world! You are such a great role model of godly character to our son! I’m blessed beyond measure! #loveyouforever #FathersDay #derickdillard #IsraelDavidDillard,” she captioned it.

Sunday was a day of celebrations–especially for Derick and Jill Dillard, but the past few weeks have been anything but celebratory. Jill Duggar Dillard admits to being one of brother Josh Duggar’s sexual molestation victims–along with sister Jessa Duggar Seewald.

It’s refreshing to see Jill and Derick moving beyond the scandal and celebrating the moments that count most in life.
