  • It’s official! Jessica Simpson is once again a married woman!

After four years and two children together, Jessica finally tied the knot to her fiancé, former NFL player Eric Johnson, at the San Ysidro Ranch in Santa Barbara, California, according to PEOPLE and Simpson’s publicist Lauren Auslander .

“We are overwhelmed with complete happiness and love having made our eternal commitment,” the newly married couple told PEOPLE in an exclusive joint statement on Saturday, July 5. “To say ‘I do’ in front of family, friends and, most importantly, our children has been the happiest moment of our lives.”

The couple said their nuptials in front of more than 250 guests including- Ashlee Simpson, Jessica’s sister, and her fiancé Evan Ross, Jessica Alba, Cash Warren, CaCee Cobb and Donald Faison.

Simpson and Johnson started dating in 2010 and have two children- two-year-old daughter, Maxwell, and a one-year-old son named Ace. “I couldn’t ask for a better man in my life right now,” Simpson said about her relationship with Johnson in 2010. “I’m in a great place and if right now could last forever, I’d take it.”

According to Auslander, Ace served as the ring bearer while Maxwell walked down the aisle as the flower girl accompanied by Ashlee’s 5-year-old son, Bronx.

Both Jessica and Eric have had previous marriages, and it looked like their wedding day was never going to come. The couple had to put their wedding plans on hold twice, but for two very special reasons. “I definitely look forward to the day that I can look into his eyes and make that commitment that we both really long for,” Jessica said in 2013. “He’s just got to stop knocking me up!”

    Congratulations to the happy couple!
