  • Jessa Duggar has been accused of skirting around the truth in the interview she gave Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly, and fans of 19 Kids And Counting have been revisiting the sit-down online to see for themselves.

Jessa–who was with sister Jill during the interview–told Kelly that the Duggar family had no hesitation when it came time to start filming their reality show with TLC because they had already dealt with brother Josh’s molestation confessions and moved on as a family.

“Whenever we started the TV show, the reality show it was five years after all of this. We had dealt with it as a family. We had moved on,” Jessa said.

Jessa was referencing the start of the show–then known as 17 Kids And Counting–in 2008, but as most fans of the show remember, the Duggar family invited TLC into their home much earlier than that for a one-off special called 14 Children And Pregnant Again!. That would have been about a year after the last reported act of sexual abuse, according to the Washington Post.

According to police reports, Josh Duggar confessed to his parents that he had inappropriately touched several underage girls, most of them while they were asleep, starting when he was about 14 years old. The majority of them were his own sisters, and Jessa and Jill admitted that they were two of the victims. The other was reportedly a babysitter. No charges were filed against Josh, however, and the Duggars have received heavy criticism for the way they handled the situation. Jessa and Jill said they thought their parents did a great job, however.
