  • Jennifer Lawrence might star in Catching Fire, but she’s sizzling hot in American Hustle. With her director from The Silver Linings Playbook at the helm, might this be yet another Oscar contender for the young starlet?

The film is about corruption in the American 1970s, between the Mafia, the FBI and a whole slew of bad guys. It’s based on a real-life corruption scandal from that time period. In addition to Lawrence, American Hustle is replete with big name actors. Bradley Cooper, Christian Bale, Jeremy Renner and Amy Adams join her on the big screen.

Jennifer Lawrence plays the role of Rosalyn Rosenfeld, who is married to Christian Bale’s character, Irving Rosenfeld. She’s a real piece of work, wearing Halston couture, with sleazy plunging necklines. She’s ditzy and glamorous, while exuding a sense of cheap that was tantamount to the players in the 1970s corruption schemes.

1970s music is featured throughout the film, with songs like Elton John’s Goodbye Yellowbrick Road and How Can You Mend a Broken Heart by the Bee Gees. Each song included relates to what’s happening on screen.

Twitter followers are catching on about how sexy Jennifer Lawrence is in this film.

Will you be visiting theaters starting on December 18th to watch Jennifer Lawrence sizzle in American Hustle? She’ll likely burn the chill right out of any cold December day with what reviewers are calling her red hot performance. It sounds like after this film (and Lawrence) has worked the big screens around the country, that The Hunger Games will seem like child’s play where this talented young actress is concerned.
