  • Jennifer Lawrence, Oscar winner and star of the upcoming film Mockingjay, recently laid down seven figures on a Hamptons-inspired home in Los Angeles. The 5,500-square-foot house, previously owned by Jessica Simpson, boasts a gourmet kitchen, a home gym, koi pond, and swimming pool. The five-bedroom home is also meticulously kept.

But don’t be fooled. Although the new place is being called a bachelorette pad, Lawrence probably won’t get lonely. The 24-year-old starlet recently flew her mother, Karen Lawrence, into Los Angeles to meet her new boyfriend, Chris Martin. Martin, one of the founders of the band Coldplay, was married to actress Gwyneth Paltrow for ten years before splitting in March. They have one child together.

Lawrence’s grandmother confirmed Lawrence and Martin’s relationship earlier this month by saying, “Jennifer’s mum flew to Los Angeles to meet Chris. We will have to get another chair for the dinner table at Christmas. The family is getting so big we might have to split up for gatherings.”

Despite her fame, Lawrence, a native of Louisville, KY, doesn’t always like the attention she receives, especially since recently private, intimate photos of her surfaced on the Internet.

“I can’t even describe to anybody what it feels like to have my naked body shoot across the world like a news flash against my will. It just makes me feel like a piece of meat that’s being passed around for a profit.”

“Jennifer doesn’t like the hype,” her grandfather, Colin Koch said. “She looks like she really enjoys doing TV interviews but she’s just a great actress.

“She hasn’t changed one bit,” he added. “She is so humble and down to earth.”

Lawrence was the only girl born in her family for 50 years, so it’s no wonder that she is somewhat of a tomboy.

“Lawrences only make boys,” she said in a recent interview with Vanity Fair. “I was a goddamn miracle.”

As far as relationships go, Lawrence is also down to earth.

“Isn’t boring so much better than passion?” she asked. “I would just rather have somebody that has the same taste in reality TV,” adding that she wants to be with somebody who “you know, isn’t afraid to fart in front of me [rather] than to have big, passionate love.

‘I’d rather have just a peaceful time. [Those relationships] are deeper because you can be your true self with somebody, and somebody can be their true self with you.”

Hopefully, in between Mockingjay and her other new film, Serena, Lawrence will have time to spend peaceful at her beautiful new home.
