  • Jennifer Aniston is the latest celebrity to chop off her hair, and of course it’s getting some attention because the actress is a tad famous for her locks (you know you had “The Rachel” at least once in the ’90s). This time around, she chose a short, choppy bob that’s a bit shorter in the back and is angled down towards her chin.

The reason for the cut is twofold: she was ready for a change, and her hair had some damage from a treatment that didn’t go well.

“I was just ready for a change. I was ready for something new, to get it out of my face, so I could have a bit of an easier go at it…It wasn’t for a role. My hair went through a phase—I did this thing called a Brazilian and my hair did not react really well to it. It’s about 2-inches above my shoulders now,” she said.

The 44-year old actress has had a similar cut before, in the later days of “Friends”, and critics went wild with it (they aren’t crazy about actresses cutting their hair short, apparently). According to Aniston, she’s never happy with it right after the cut.

“The minute I cut my hair I want it back. Always. It’s a guarantee,” she told Elle UK. “I’m trying really hard to love this one.”

The cut wasn’t the only change Jen made to her appearance; she and makeup artist Gucci Westman decided to go get their ears pierced together, and Westman posted a photo of the studs on Instagram.

Coincidentally, the actress isn’t the only celeb who got a much-talked about haircut this week; Jennifer Lawrence is now sporting a pixie cut, which has Twitter buzzing. Pamela Anderson and Jennifer Hudson are also among the celebs who have opted for the cute cut.
