Garth said the feuds with Doherty had more to do with spending a lot of time together at work, and it wasn’t because the two really had a huge problem with each other.

“We were locked in this sound stage for 14-16 hours everyday,” she said, recalling her time on the 90s Fox hit Beverly Hills 90210.

“There were times when we loved each other and there were times when we wanted to claw each other’s eyes out.”

Plus, both actresses were much younger, she said, which had a lot to do with the arguments they had during the show. “It was more of just young girls finding their way and finding their individual voices,” said Garth.

And both of them being the same zodiac sign didn’t help either, she said.

“Shannen and I are both Aries women. We’re both very strong, independent women, so we butt heads a lot. Now, as grown women, we happen to get along well.”

The 41 year old also talked about being famous at a very young age and how she had difficulty coping with it, and during the peak of 90210, Garth said it was hard for her to face her fans or be outside in public. The blonde beauty also said that she didn’t have the best support system around her during the show’s heyday.

“[In the book] I talk about my early stardom and being sort of catapulted into that as a teenager and not really having the instruction booklet to deal with that, not knowing what I was doing,” said Garth.

“I was kind of alone on that journey. I didn’t have a lot of support around me, so I had to figure that out as I went. I think I kind of managed it pretty well. I ended up pretty good. I didn’t get too lost along the way.”
