  • Jenelle Evans, one of the stars of MTV’s Teen Mom OG, has a new mugshot–her 15th–to add to her collection. She was arrested Thursday in South Carolina.

Us Weekly reports that on Wednesday a warrant for Jenelle Evans’ arrest was issued by Myrtle Beach police. She turned herself in to the police station there the next day.

So why was the Teen Mom star arrested this time? Was it drugs again?

No. This time it was for domestic violence. It’s important to note that the MTV cameras followed Jenelle Evans to the police station when she turned herself in. She faced the cameras one final time before being led away.

The saga began on Tuesday, when Jenelle Evans went to ex-fiance Nathan Griffith’s house and attacked him. Griffith had scratches and bruises all over, according to the police report.

Despite her assault, attorney Amy S. Lawrence was quick to defend Jenelle Evans.

“She’s just…I think that in her heart she thought that maybe with them breaking up that they would get back together because they have a child together,” Lawrence said after confirming the MTV star wasn’t seeking medical treatment. “And I think she’s just very hurt that he has moved on.”

Lawrence also says she doesn’t believe Nathan Griffith wants to press charges against Jenelle.

“He will do everything that he can to get these charges dismissed for Jenelle,” Lawrence continued. “He understands that she’s hurt because they’ve broken up, and he’s dating somebody else and things escalated in a way they shouldn’t have. But he does not want her to have any kind of criminal consequence for this.”

Jenelle Evans has been arrested more than 10 times in the past five years.
