  • Jay Mohr received some backlash this week after some comments he made during an interview about actress Alyssa Milano went viral. Now, he’s apologized for his joke fail via Twitter.

Mohr and Milano both showed up at the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Awards gala last month, after which Mohr said in a radio interview that the actress had forgotten to wear her Spanx.

“She’s very tiny, in height…It seems like she had a baby and said, ‘I don’t really give a s–t’…I read it on her gut,” Mohr said in a radio interview. “Somebody sat in the director’s chair and was not wearing Spanx and I was like, ‘Jesus Christ.’”

Milano, who had a son in 2011, took to Twitter to call Mohr out in the classiest way, wishing him well in the process. Her fans backed her up on the site, coming to her defense, and a few celebrities got into the mix as well.

“So sorry you felt the need to publicly fat-shame me. Be well and God Bless. Please send my love to your beautiful wife,” she wrote.

Milano’s former “Charmed” costar, Rose McGowan, tweeted in her friend’s defense, “What?! Do I need to kick someone’s ass?” Actress Olivia Munn said, “You are gorgeous @Alyssa_Milano & ur baby is ridiculously cute. In other news @jaymohr37 looks like a foot.”

After the backlash, Mohr issued an apology via Twitter through celebrity blogger Hilton Perez, saying, “@perezhilton @alyssa_milano She’s stunning,” Mohr tweeted. “I mistakenly thought the absurdity of what I was saying would have ben taken as a joke. #fail”
