  • It’s been two days since Valentine’s Day ended, which means we’re now starting to hear about all the wonderful things couples did that day, and the great gifts some of them received.

One of the bigger Valentine’s Day stories that’s floating around the Internet is singer Jason Derulo’s gift to his fiance Jordin Sparks of American Idol fame.

According to Sparks, Derulo purchased 10,000 roses for her, which has to be a record of some sort, and it obviously shows just how much he appreciates her. At least that’s one some people might say.

The romantic gesture first went viral after Sparks posted an Instagram photo holding some of the flowers. “Pretty sure my face says it all,” she wrote alongside the photo. “I love you babe.”

Another image shows the lovely singer standing in a room full of roses, looking totally shocked. “Completely overwhelmed by 10,000 roses today from my love @jasonderulo,” she admitted. “They’re so beautiful.”

Last year, engagement rumors started swirling when Derulo made the video for his romantic ballad “Marry Me,” especially since Sparks is the video’s main star. And in a 2013 interview, Sparks said it won’t be long until the two make it official.

She also says the video has put a little pressure on the couple to get engaged, and they both get asked when they’ll walk down the aisle by their friends, respective families, and fans.

“It’s so funny because Jason’s like ‘Everybody keeps asking me [about marriage]’ and I say ‘We did kind of set ourselves up for that one,'” said Sparks. “We’re definitely on that trajectory to get to that point. Things are so good with us now. He’s working really hard, I’m working really hard. We love the time that we get to spend together because our schedules are so crazy. One day it’ll happen.”
