Jane Lynch is officially a divorced woman.

According to Billboard, the Glee star and her wife Dr. Lara Embry, a clinical psychologist, had their divorce approved by Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Ralph C. Hofer on Monday, October 27.

The couple married on Memorial Day in 2010 in Massachusetts. However, their marriage didn’t last long and Lynch filed for divorce in July 2013, citing irreconcilable differences.

Earlier this year, Lynch opened up about her decision to get a divorce during an interview with Larry King on his web series Larry King Now. She revealed that it was wonderful being married to Embry, but they had mutually decided to move on from each other.

“It’s just two people who just decide it’s better to go apart than stay together,” Lynch explained.

Both women have remained very mature through the ordeal and have tried to make the transition as easy as possible for Embry’s two daughters, Haden and Chase.

“Yeah, all’s good…She has a little girl who’s very dear to me. She’s 10 and she’s doing great,” Lynch said. “It’s not dramatic, it’s not a horrible thing. It’s something that we’re dealing with.”
