Jada Pinkett Smith has had quite a success on her hands with Gotham, a dark Fox drama based on characters from the world of Batman. The show has garnered a loyal following of fans, as has Smith’s character, but she said this week that she doesn’t think she’ll be returning for season two.

When asked during an interview on Live With Kelly And Michael, Jada said she only signed on for one season, which is just about finished.

“I don’t think so, no. I signed for a year and the year is up. But there are some great things coming ahead on Gotham, believe you me. There’s a lot of good stuff coming,” Smith said.

Jada teased that fans have a lot to look forward to with the season finale, saying, “The show is going to have an awesome finale! You never know what Fish might have up her sleeve.”

While it’s not clear what will happen to Fish in the season finale, it’s not a stretch to imagine the character becoming a casualty somewhere in the storyline. However, Smith said she doesn’t necessarily have to get killed off.

“She could show up anywhere, you never know!” she said.

Smith made headlines this week when she talked to Seth Meyers about watching her husband, Will Smith, participate in steamy scenes in his films. There’s no jealousy, she says, because she’s able to step back and see what he looks like from another side.

“Here’s the interesting part. When I’m looking at Will in those scenes, whoever’s there is out of the way. I’m in the picture. I’m fantasizing. When I’m with Will, I get to experience him physically, but very rarely do I get to see what he looks like when he’s in the game. So I’m looking, and I’m like, ‘Is that what he looks like?’ And then I’m puttin’ 20 on 10, ’cause I’m like, ‘Well, if he’s with me, it’s gonna be extra!’ But you know…it’s sexy.”
