  • The Star-Ledger tells us of a shooting outside of a strip club in Irvington, New Jersey on Christmas morning that left three men dead and two wounded.

A bouncer was first killed in the line of duty a little after 12:30 a.m. Wednesday morning. Woodley Daniel was attempting to escort drunken armed guests from Slick’s Go Go Bar when the gunman stepped back and opened fire. Pierre Clervoyant Jr., the son of the club’s owner, likely tried to assist the situation and was shot and killed shortly after.

The third victim, Mushir Cureton, has just recently died from his shooting injuries.

Known as a “hole-in-the-wall” bar, the club has endured a recent fatality in a similar manner in 2010. Neighbors have told reporters that the neighborhood is becoming more dangerous every day.

Not much information can be found on Woodley Daniel, but he honorably lost his life trying to protect approximately 100 people that were inside of the club. Pierre Clervoyant Jr. leaves behind a wife and young child at his death.

There is a $10,000 reward for information that assists in a suspect’s arrest; the only information authorities have as of now is that the two suspects possibly fled the Essex County strip club in a grey sedan immediately after the incident.
