  • Iggy Azalea pumped up the crowd at the Billboard Music Awards on Sunday with her hit “Fancy” and shortly thereafter was joined on stage by Ariana Grande who performed her new release “Problem,” to which Azalea added her personal touch as well in her succinct rapid fire style. There’s no doubt when hearing these two perform–and seeing their solid presence on stage–that they’ll be making hits, both solo and together, for a long time to come.

Ariana Grande debuted “Problem” at the Disney Music Awards on April 27th and by May 17th it was at the number three spot on Billboard’s Hot 100. It is the first single off her upcoming album–which is her second–that is due out this fall.

Iggy Azalea’s “Fancy” presently holds that number three spot on Billboard’s Hot 100. With Problem now in the number four spot Azalea is the first female rapper ever to have two songs on Billboard’s Hot 100 at the same time.

Iggy and Jennifer Lopez competed for ‘hottest burgundy dress’ on the red carpet in what probably was on oversight on some stylist’s part. Each rocked very sexy burgundy gowns–although J Lo’s was far more revealing.

Who do you think pulled off the hottest burgundy dress look?

It was definitely a big night for all the performers at the Billboard Music Awards but Iggy Azalea and Ariana Grande made what may become a monumental debut in the music world at this awards show. Yes, they had made music news before Sunday night, but this event may be the catalyst that knocks these two ladies into an even more successful career than either could have possibly imagined.
