  • It seems the 2014 MTV Movie Awards didn’t generate smiles from everyone in attendance. Apparently, Ice Cube became fairly upset when he didn’t take home the prized popcorn trophy last night.

The rapper turned actor didn’t take home the trophy for best Onscreen Duo and wasn’t too pleased about it. Ice Cube thought the award should’ve gone to him and Kevin Hart for their performances in the comedy Ride Along.

Instead, the popcorn went to Vin Diesel and the late Paul Walker for their chemistry in Fast & Furious 6.

“We was robbed,” Ice Cube told USA TODAY. “Shame on you MTV.”

“We had the best chemistry of everybody nominated, for us not to win was crazy,” he claimed of his role with Hart in Ride Along. “We were the best onscreen duo, period.”

The raper wasn’t shy about explaining why he felt he and Hart were snubbed.

“They should have gave it to him before he passed away,” Ice Cube says of Walker, who died in November 2013.

He was so displeased with the situation that he decided to leave the award show early.

“I just wasn’t into it,” he said. “I have been going in and out of these things for 25 years. If you ain’t into it, why torture yourself? As soon as you get bored, get up and leave.”
