Ian Somerhalder seemed to be avoiding his Vampire Diaries costar and former girlfriend Nina Dobrev at PaleyFest in L.A. this weekend. The Vampire Diaries cast appeared at the Paley Center, but Ian and Nina didn’t pose together on the red carpet.

Nina Dobrev looked lovely in a calf-length midnight blue dress while Ian Somerhalder opted for a dark suit and tie. Too bad they didn’t walk the red carpet together since their ensembles coordinated perfectly. Don’t lose hope about spotting them side by side yet, however.

Is it possible that Ian avoided Nina because just a week ago he was spotted posing with his former Lost star and yet another ex-girlfriend–Maggie Grace–at the Lost 10-year reunion? Maggie even posted an Instagram photo of Ian kissing her on the cheek. Do you think either of them are thinking of starting things back up with one another or was this just a friendly reunion kiss instead? Sources say the two shared a “fun, flirty chemistry” at the reunion event.

Ian Somerhalder’s romance with Maggie Grace was said to have been a rather brief one. He took up with with Nina Dobrev shortly after their split, and they dated pretty seriously for about two years.

PaleyFest is an annual event named after William S. Paley, founder of both CBS and the Paley Center for Media. The two week event includes episodes or highlights of featured television shows in addition to some panel discussions and Q & A sessions with the shows’ casts and crews.

Even though Ian Somerhalder did his best to avoid Nina Dobrev at PaleyFest, the two were spotted together signing autographs for fans.

Despite the fact that Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev called it quits and that he tried to avoid posing with her on the red carpet at PaleyFest, they certainly make a striking couple. Just seeing them side by side at events like the one they attended this weekend is a definite reminder of how great they look together.
