Ian McShane, Golden Globe winning star of Deadwood, will be joining Liev Schreiber for an entire season of Ray Donovan.

The Showtime series will definitely have a win with the addition of Ian McShane to the cast.

Ray Donovan stars Schreiber as a "fixer" who makes the problems of the LA celebrities, superstar athletes, and business moguls disappear into the unknown.

McShane will play Malcolm Finney, a prominent movie producer and billionaire. Finney hires Ray to get his family out of a potentially terrible situation. He will eventually form a very powerful relationship with Ray.

That sounds like an amazingly interesting plot line for this season. Ian McShane has the dramatic acting chops, as one of the screen's best stereotypical villans, to bring an edge to this role.

Ray Donovan isn't the only project that Ian McShane has going on right now.

He will soon star as a corrupt judge in Bolden and opposite Patrick Wilson in The Man on Carrion Road.

On the big screen, Ian McShane showcased his nefarious talents in Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides as the fearsome pirate, Blackbeard.

He made an absolutely perfect Blackbeard.

Ian McShane has also graced the big screen in Hercules, Cuban Fury, Jack and the Giant Slayer, Snow White and the Huntsman, and he starred in and co-produced the movie 44 Inch Chest.

Even your kids have been priviledged to witness his skills.

Ian McShane has done tons of voice over acting in the animated movies Coraline, Shrek The Third, Kung Fu Panda and The Golden Compass.

The rest of the cast of Ray Donovan that will get to work with Ian McShane includes Paula Malcomson, Eddie Marsan, Dash Mihok, Steven Bauer, Katherine Moennig, Pooch Hall, Kerris Dorsey and Devon Bagby.

What do you think? Are you excited to see Ian McShane in Ray Donovan?
