  • Helen Mirren recently made light of the celebrity phone hacker situation and said that she was insulted that the hackers didn’t bother to try to hack into her phone and look for her naked selfies.

“I was rather insulted my phone wasn’t hacked, actually. I kept desperately looking at the list of people whose phones were hacked, hoping to see my name. You weren’t anybody if your phone hadn’t been hacked!” she said.

Helen also asked the question that is on everyone’s mind. Why would anyone keep naked photos on their phone? She said that although she doesn’t understand the reason for taking and keeping naked photos of yourself, she doesn’t feel the celebs who were the victims of the hackers were to blame.

She called the hack “infantile” and “offensive.” “It’s insulting and stupid to hack phones,” she added.

The hackers targeted young, female celebrities, including Jennifer Lawrence, Kate Upton, Kristen Dunst, Lea Michele and Victoria Justice.

The hackers were able to gain access to the media stored on the celebrities’ phones and stole and shared dozens of naked pictures.

Some of the victims have denied that the photos are theirs and argued that they didn’t even have naked photos saved on their phones.

Investigators were able to determine that the hack was a result of an iCloud breach.

Apple said hackers obtained access to the celebrities’ accounts by correctly guessing their password through “phishing,” the act of posing as someone who has forgotten their username and password. Apple and the FBI are working together to find out who is responsible for the hack.
