  • No, she’s not expecting, but when Hayden Panettiere and her very tall fiance, heavyweight boxing champion Wladimir Klitschko, decide to have children, she expects (read: hopes!) they will be normal in size. The former Heroes star and the boxer love their differences in height–she is just 5′ 2″ tall, while he towers over her at an impressive 6′ 6″. Panettiere says that’s how they met.

She told Ellen DeGeneres “That’s how we met. I said, ‘You’re huge.’ He said, ‘You’re tiny.’ ”

Hayden met Wladimir when she was just 19 years old. The two announced their engagement last month, and say they do plan on having children.

Says Hayden of their drastic height difference, it was, “God telling us [that we] were too far on either end of the spectrum. He needs to make normal people.”

The Nashville star also explained to Ellen that while Wladimir is a great guy, he still has a lot to learn about American culture. Because he’s Ukranian, Hayden explained, “he’s very confused about our traditions,” like that of taking a honeymoon.

She also joked that Wladimir doesn’t know that, in America, the bride’s family is expected to foot the bill for the wedding.

Once the wedding is over, however, it’s unknown whether Hayden Panettiere and Wladimir Klitschko will immediately get to work on making those aforementioned babies, or if they’ll wait a while and enjoy the honeymoon that she might have, by now, convinced him is supposed be a year long! (You go, Hayden!) Her fans will no doubt be waiting anxiously, once she announces word of a pregnancy, to see how big or small that first baby will be.
