  • As Season 10 of The Voice draws to a close, fans are starting to wonder what will become of Blake Shelton’s romance with fellow coach Gwen Stefani.

The unlikely but adorable couple have not been shy about their affections towards one another ever since their relationship became official early last month after weeks of speculation from both their respective fans and viewers of the show. Their flirtation has not been limited to every episode of the show – what fans get more excited about is their off-camera PDA, which the public gets a glimpse of through social media and after-show reports.

Gwen Stefani is said to be relishing the country superstar’s attention, especially after going through a nasty divorce from rock star Gavin Rossdale, to whom she was married for almost 13 years.

Entertainment website Hollywoodlife is reporting that the 46-year-old former vocalist of No Doubt is being treated “like a princess” by Shelton and that she is enjoying her first taste of old-fashioned southern charm.

The 39-year-old “Lonely Tonight” singer has been known to keep mum about his private life, but things seem to have changed with Gwen Stefani.

Between hanging out at Stefani’s dressing room in between takes and kissing his her in public, it’s safe to say that Blake Shelton is proud and happy about his new relationship.

So much so that he wants Gwen Stefani to stay on the show and return for the next season. In a recent press conference attended by The Voice coaches and executive producer Carson Daly, Shelton admitted that this season’s group of coaches “is a standout” to him for quite obvious reasons. Original The Voice coach Christina Aguilera has already confirmed her return to the show’s 10th season, but Shelton humored Daly into bringing Gwen Stefani back for Season 11.

“Our chairs, we’re like Iron Chef over here. Once you’ve been in the kitchen, you’re always welcome back in the kitchen,” Daly responded.

A delighted Shelton then says, “All right, see you next season, Gwen!”

Both Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton have team members vying for The Voice Championship. The finale airs December 15th from 8 to 10 p.m. on NBC.
