  • On an Allegiant flight scheduled from Las Vegas to Phoenix, some delayed passengers, “delirious from heat,” decided to make the best of a bad situation. What did they do? Well, join together and sing R. Kelly’s hit “I Believe I Can Fly,” of course.

“Flight attendants leave us alone to our devices after 5 hours, 2 planes, no snacks, no water, no A/C. Two people passed out, two vomited and to avoid a mutiny, the passengers banded together in song,” reads the YouTube description.

The video was posted to reddit, and the poster claimed to be one of the singing passengers.

In response to suggestions that forcing people to spend 5 hours on a tarmac is actually an illegal action, the original poster had this to say:

“We changed planes after 2 hours, Spent one hour in the airport, and then 2 more hours on the second plane that broke down. So technically it was not more than 3 hours consecutively on the tarmac,” said reddit user qtip83.

Miserable situation aside, these people know how to make the best of it.

    Allegiant issued a statement:

We take these matters very seriously. Allegiant’s top priority is the safety of our passengers and crew members, and we will always take a delay to ensure the safety of all involved.

They also offered all the passengers a $100 future flight credit.
