  • Greta Van Susteren, a longtime anchor for Fox news, has no problem calling out her colleague Chris Wallace after he made a rude comment about Kelly Clarkson’s weight.

On Friday, Van Susteren shared her disgust over Chris Wallace’s comment that singer Kelly Clarkson “could stay off the deep dish pizza.”

Greta Van Susteren, who hosts On the Record, not only called him out on the faux pas, she practically demanded that he apologize to Clarkson.

It was on an appearance on Mike Gallagher’s show that the Fox News Sunday host said Clarkson “could stay off the deep dish pizza,” among other things, which Van Susteren thinks is deplorable and should not be tolerated.

“Have you seen Kelly Clarkson? You know the singer, Kelly Clarkson?” Gallagher asked Wallace. “Holy cow, did she blow up.”

“At first, it seemed that [Chris] Wallace was going to avoid joining in on this bizarre line of questioning, saying he thinks Clarkson has ‘got a lovely voice.’ But then, he let this comment slip: ‘She could stay off the deep dish pizza for a little while,'” wrote Greta Van Susteren on her blog.

Kelly Clarkson‘s weight has long been the subject of scrutiny by the media and the public. The pop singer discussed the hurt it causes with Ellen Degeneres on her show Friday.

“I think what hurts my feelings for people is that I’ll have a meet-and-greet after the show and a girl who’s like bigger than me will be in the meet-and-greet and be like, ‘Wow, if they think you’re big I must be so fat to them.’ And it’s like, you’re just who you are,” said Kelly Clarkson.

Van Susteren voiced what many are thinking.

“This ‘guy snickering’ about her weight is obnoxious,” Greta Van Susteren continued. “He should apologize.”
