A new letter published on FCKH8‘s Facebook, went viral Monday. Written from an anonymous Grandfather, defending his gay grandson, quickly grabbed attention and received over 8,000 likes and 3,000 comments – mostly all positive. The letter disowning his daughter for kicking out her son who came out of the closet.

Typically different generations vary on their reactions after learning that a family member is gay, but in this situation, surprisingly, the older generation is the compassionate one. The grandfather is passionately defending his grandson, Chad, and addressing his daughter’s opinion. He states his support for his grandson, that he was ‘born this way and didn’t chose it any more than he being left-handed.’

The letter became an online sensation after equality activist website fckh8.com posted it on their Facebook page, claiming it was “sent in by a supporter”.

FCKH8 responded: “We were blown away by how this guy stands by his grandson and stands up against his own homophobic daughter. This is real l♥ve!”

FCKH8’s platform is fighting homo-H8 everywhere. They have raised over $250,000 for gay right charities through T-Shirt sales.
