Google Makes It Easier to Listen to the Music You’re Seeking

  • If you’re in the US and an Android user, Google has just made it super easy to listen to the music you’re searching for.

Now, when you look up bands and musicians in Google search, Google will display a new “listen on your apps” section inside the results box. These link will allow you to immediately start listening to that band/artist’s music in handful of supported apps, if you have them installed.

    Or as Google puts it:

“When you look up musicians and bands on Google, you often want to play their songs right away. Say you’re curious about your favorite pop artist’s latest hits, or you’re with friends chatting about the newest indie rock group and want to play some of their music. Starting today, when you ask Google about a musician, you can simply tap a link to play their music right in one of your installed apps.”

A small, but neat little feature that reflects Google’s goal of showing you the exact information you need without even having to scroll through your search results.

As of now, the quick link music apps that this feature supports are Rdio, iHeartRadio, Spotify, YouTube, TuneIn, and Google Play.

Google says they are working to make this a worldwide feature soon, as well as trying to expand the list of supported music apps.
