Google has partnered with Time Inc. to launch the Time Inc. Global Exchange, a new ad exchange giving marketers programmatic access to Time’s properties around the world, which reach 116 million consumers. It will be powered by the DoubleClick Ad Exchange.
“The strategic relationship between Time Inc. and Google to enable programmatic buying across markets will result in one of the largest, cross-platform premium exchanges,” Time’s IPC Media says in the announcement.
“As part of its broader relationship with Google, editorial-themed packages will be made available for sale programmatically through Google’s Ad Exchange, powered by DoubleClick,” it says.
The news comes just after news earlier this week that Google has made a deal with The Local Media Consortium (which includes 800 newspapers and 200 local broadcast outlets), which will see the launch of a private ad exchange also powered by the DoubleClick Ad Exchange.
Also today, Yandex announced a partnership with Google, which will see DoubleClick Bid Manager connect to Yandex’s real-time bidding system and Yandex’s demand-side platform joining the DoubleClick Ad Exchange.[via TechCrunch]
