  • A new startup called Revevol Apps is launching today out of San Francisco, which builds products to accelerate the adoption of Google Apps. Its own products, which presumably benefit the company based on Google Apps adoption, will be announced in the coming months, a spokesperson for the company tells WebProNews.

These forthcoming products, the spokesperson says, will focus on administration, monitoring, document metadata management, user experience and integration across applications. These apps are being developed on Google App Engine.

Stéphane Donzé, the CEO of Revevol Apps, was formerly head of research and development at Exalead, a search-based application company (which was acquired by Dassault Systems for $160 million in 2010). Revevol Apps is actually a subsidiary of Google Apps reseller Revevol Group. Revevol has already deployed over 700,000 Google Apps licenses in 17 countries.

“As a specialist in cloud computing technologies, we see Google App Engine as the most advanced, flexible and agile platform in the market,” says Donzé. “Capitalizing on years of experience, our parent company, Revevol, has identified user demands that are not currently covered by existing products. The creation of Revevol Apps allows Revevol to address these needs as a software publisher. Revevol Apps looks forward to working with Google to help even more companies take advantage of cloud computing.”

“By launching Revevol Apps, we are seeking to augment and complement our existing catalog of products and services, rather than competing with the excellent solutions we are already selling with our technology partners,” says Revevol Group CEO Laurent Gasser. “Our goal is to exceed our clients’ expectations by focusing on a strong synergy between our expertise, Google Apps and the applications we will be building. Revevol Apps will make it easier for businesses to move more quickly and easily to the cloud.”

Google of course already has its Google Apps Marketplace, which is full of useful tools for businesses to get more out of Google Apps. Revevol currently has five entries in that. Google has actually featured the company on its official Enterprise Blog in the past.
