  • Google has launched some new features for the Google Affiliate Network, which it says will simplify the process of creating relationships and getting links.

For publishers, the “Recommended” sub-tab is now the default view for the Advertisers tab, and features a customizable list of available ad programs that Google algorithms predict “may be a good fit”. A new invitations tab shows invitations from advertisers who want to work with you, including those with private programs. The browse existing tab shows the status of ad programs you’ve already applied to.

“The Links tab features recommendations for links that we estimate will perform well for you, and we now include new criteria for recommendations, like Staff picks and Exclusive opportunities,” Google says in a blog post. “You can still view ‘Browse all links’ to search for links as normal. You’ll also notice three new sub-tabs – we’ve consolidated Products and Subscriptions under the Links tab.”

The Recommended sub-tab shows recommended links, which are ranked based on average earnings. The staff picks sub-tab shows picks that are curated by Google Affiliate Network account teams based on relevant performance or seasonality, and the “Exclusive opportunities” tab features links only available through the Google Affiliate Network.

Advertisers also have three new sub-tabs under the Publishers tab for Recommended, Pending and Browse Existing.
