Gigi Hadid and Joe Jonas were spotted in New York City on Thursday night looking quite enthralled with one another. This has prompted many to ask if the two are officially a couple.

It wasn’t all that long ago–less than a month, in fact–since Gigi Hadid and singer Cody Simpson called it quits. Is Gigi Hadid moving on with a new singer?

People magazine reports that two are longtime friends, but at the bar where they were spotted they appeared to be a bit closer than most ‘friends.’

A source says there’s nothing official in play, however–at least not yet.

“They are taking things light and just enjoying each others’ friendship,” the source said. “Gigi feels very comfortable with Joe and it’s very easy to talk about everything that’s going on in her life with him. He understands where she is at and they are not in any rush.”

E! News reports that Gigi Hadid and Joe Jonas are “hanging out romantically,” but added that nothing has become particularly serious just yet.

Gigi Hadid is the daughter of Yolanda Foster of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills fame. She is a close friend to Taylor Swift, and even appeared in her new music video, ‘Bad Blood.’ Joe Jonas is, of course, one of the former Jonas Brothers.
