George Zimmerman was arrested on Monday following an altercation with his girlfriend, and the judge set his bail at $9,000.
Zimmerman has also been ordered to stay away from girlfriend Samantha Scheibe and her home, and has reportedly been charged with felony domestic violence because Scheibe is pregnant. She told police that Zimmerman choked her last week, but she didn’t file charges then.
Scheibe told police that Zimmerman pointed a shotgun at her during an argument at their shared home and began breaking things before shoving her outside, and while Zimmerman told police a different story, he does have a colorful history with the law since he was acquitted of Trayvon Martin’s murder in July. Most notably, he was detained after a domestic incident involving his ex-wife, Shellie, and her father, whom she says got into an altercation with Zimmerman and was punched in the face.
For now, Zimmerman has been ordered to wear a monitoring device and is banned from having access to weapons or ammunition.
