In celebration of the game’s launch, GameStop today announced that more than 3,600 stores will host midnight release parties nationwide. Gamers everywhere will prepare to lose a lot of sleep when Mass Effect 3 hits store shelves in North America on March 6. Fans unable to attend the launch events will have an opportunity to participate and interact with the ME3 dev team virtually through the BioWare TV live stream which will broadcast midnight launch events directly from Edmonton, West Hollywood, Chicago and Boston.

Fans who pre-order Mass Effect 3 at GameStop will receive exclusive bonus items including the N7 “Valkyrie” Assault Rifle and N7 “Defender” Armor. In addition, GameStop pre-order customers who purchase Mass Effect 3 between March 6 and March 11 will receive $50 off a Kinect Sensor, your special weapon to fight the Reapers.

Mass Effect 3 arrives on the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC in North America on March 6, 2012 and in Europe on March 9, 2012.

The Team behind the Mass Effect franchise is Bioware games. This member of the EA family is located in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, with several other offshoot studios located in Austin, Montreal, Ireland, and San Francisco. Bioware is responsible for some of the greatest games in the recent past including; Star Wars the Old Republic, Baldur’s Gate, and the Dragon Age games.
