Brace yourself… season 2 of Game of Thrones is nearly upon us.

From the way the first season ended, we pretty much know what to expect from season 2, and it can’t get her soon enough. To help build hype for the show, HBO debuted a new trailer for the second season through their video app/site HBO Go this past weekend. Check it out for yourself below.

For those of you not familiar with the show, below is a brief synopsis:

Summers span decades. Winters can last a lifetime. And the struggle for the Iron Throne has begun.

It will stretch from the south, where heat breeds plots, lust and intrigues; to the vast and savage eastern lands; all the way to the frozen north, where an 800-foot wall of ice protects the kingdom from the dark forces that lie beyond. Kings and queens, knights and renegades, liars, lords and honest men…all will play the Game of Thrones.

Game of Thrones returns on April 1st.
