  • The super private wedding plans of Gabrielle Union and Dwyane Wade were first leaked to the public when TMZ got hold of the couple’s wedding invitations in late July. Although readers are anxious to know more details about the wedding set for August 30, the celebrity couple is doing a good job of keeping everything under the radar.

TMZ, however, has again gotten hold of the couple’s Save the Date video that was part of the wedding invitation the couple gave out to guests. In the video, previously unseen footage now shows us how Wade proposed to his long-time girlfriend on bended knee. It also shows how Wade’s children, Zaire and Zion, and nephew, Dahveon, contributed in getting a “Yes” from Union.

A ready camera crew, organized by Wade, captured the kids playing an adorable role in the engagement by holding up “Will you marry us?” signs. CBS Sports reports that it is an interesting sign that Wade thoughtfully included his children in the wedding affairs. It shows he really values his family and he won’t allow the children to feel left out.  Fans will remember that Wade wrote a book on fatherhood called A Father First, released in 2012.

No other information about the wedding can be found in the video. In an effort to keep the ceremonies private, the couple invited only close friends and family members. The location of the wedding ceremony is still undisclosed. Guests were only given the address to a designated meeting place from where they will be shuttled by private bus to the venue. The wedding invitations, which are beautifully crafted from wood with a black ribbon accent, also specifically asked the guests not to bring phones and cameras to the wedding.

“The lives and most personal moments of celebrities are sadly constantly under siege,” wrote Wade in a social media post about this Save the Date vid.

The couple’s guests, however, can look forward to what seems to be a grand party as the invitations also asked that the attendees be ready to: “Put on your dancing shoes and join us for a THROW DOWN.”
