  • Elisabeth Shue will not be reprising her role as Julie Finlay when the cast of CSI reunites in the fall for a special two-hour season finale.

Filming begins on July 29th and the special will air on September 27th, but Elisabeth Shue, on the show since 2012, opted to sit it out.

However, Elisabeth Shue isn’t the only one who will be absent from the special.

George Eads, who played Nick Stokes, will also be missing.

But, fans have no reason to worry. After lamenting the absence of Elisabeth Shue and George Eads, there are so many favorites to look forward to in September’s special.

Of course, William Petersen will be returning as Gil Grissom and Marg Helgenberger will be back as Catherine Willows. Those are the big two!

Ted Danson will return as D.B. Russell and then will report for duty on the latest CSI show, CSI: Cyber.

Jorja Fox is returning in her role as Sara Sidle, as well as Jon Wellner as Henry Andrews, David Berman as David Phillips, Paul Guilfoyle as Jim Brass, and Wallace Langham as David Hodges.

Not to be overlooked, Elisabeth Harnois will return as Morgan Brody, Robert David Hall as Dr. Al Robbins, Eric Szmanda as Greg Sanders, and Melinda Clarke as Lady Heather.

Even without Elisabeth Shue and George Eads, the two-hour special will definitely be amazing with all of these familiar faces returning!
