Doll Face Trend Encourages the Sexualization of Children?

  • Dakota Rose is known to her fans as Kota Koti and she is reaching a global audience through her fashion and beauty enhancement tutorials.

What makes Koti stand out is her doll-like look. Other reporters claim that she looks like a Barbie doll while I think she looks more like a Bratz doll.

Yasmine is a shopaholic Bratz doll that loves chick flicks and romance novels.

I don’t know if we can blame Barbie this time.

Koti applies her makeup in a strategic sequence that makes her eyes look big and glassy, her skin as pale and flawless as porcelain, and her lips pink and puffy like a bow.

In short, she is a child molester’s fantasy and this is why some people are worrying that her look encourages the sexualization of children. Koti is estimated to be about 17years of age and is a model in San Francisco; the rest of her background remains unknown.

Here are some of the comments she received via Facebook:

Her signature visage is especially popular in Asia because it reflects Japanese anime culture.

Would it be too much of a stretch to say that the asian girl in the following pic wishes to convey her desire to administer oral sex by playing with a Pocky stick?

Venus Palermo AKA VenusAngelic has also gained popularity for her doll face:

    She is only 15.

One has to wonder if this look stems from some sort of mental illness where girls grow into their obsessions with dolls. I am no Freud so I will resist analysis but another worry comes to mind. Will this be the fate of some young girls who have been subjected to child beauty pageants or even worse, “Dance Moms?”
