  • “Glee” star Dianna Argon may only be 27-years old, but she’s already received the advice of a lifetime from two of Hollywood’s major players.

In a recent interview with Contactmusic.com, that was released by the Indo Asian News Service, Argon says Robert De Niro and Michelle Pfeiffer told her to be extremely choosy in the movies she selects, and to pick projects that matter to her, as opposed to making choices just to keep her momentum going. The actress recently worked in the film “The Family” with DeNiro and Pfeiffer.

“I feel like a lot of people want to work back-to-back for fear that it’s going to go away and I think that if I’m to try and honor what I’ve seen from Michelle and Rob do, it’s to make smart choices and make things that you really believe in,” she says.

Additionally, Argon says she wants to have a good time while filming a movie and the roles she selects should fit naturally within the actor’s area of interest. If not, the performance may seem forced, which can of course hurt the movie overall and make it unenjoyable to the actor.

“Because that’s when you’re having the most fun, and if you try and force it, you’re probably only going to like half of your work,” she said.

In a separate interview with InStyle magazine, the Georgia native said she much rather dress down than dress up, which is why she never minds when it’s raining outside.

“I love the rain,” she admitted. “It gives me a chance to wear jeans and a sweater. My style is total tomboy. I do love skirts and dresses when I want to feel feminine or if I’m dressing for the carpet. But I like finding a balance between feminine and masculine. My style in real life has just become much more casual.”
