Denny’s Wedding Chapel: Vows + Grand Slam = Awesome

  • Denny’s restaurant is about to open up a huge new location in Vegas, a 6,342-square foot eatery within Neonopolis which will become a shining, glittery beacon of light to those seeking out an enormous stack of pancakes at four a.m. What makes it stand out from the other Denny’s locations in Vegas, however, is the grand wedding chapel which will be located smack in the center of it.

“It’s unique. It’s different. It’s going to be an icon within Vegas. People are going to want to travel to see this Denny’s,” Chief Marketing Officer Frances Allen said. “The wedding scene is such a part of Vegas, and who doesn’t want a wedding cake made out of pancakes?”

The new location–which should be open by the end of the year–will include a full-service bar, in case the Krave club upstairs isn’t to your liking. For those lovebirds with a fun sense of humor who don’t want to go the married-by-Elvis route, Denny’s could be the place to go. And while there’s been no mention yet of pricing for their nuptials, just think of all the cash you’ll save on catering.

While Vegas is certainly well-known for its quirky, spur-of-the-moment wedding locations–they offer curbside service, you know–there are other places in the country to declare your undying love that look nothing like a chapel. Voodoo Doughnut, with locations in Portland and Eugene, Oregon, offers deluxe wedding packages complete with their famously devilish confections. If I’d known about this place six years ago, I totally would have tried to talk my hubs into going there.
