  • Dennis Rodman has been named in a police report this week after a woman said she was drinking and partying with him and a friend and ended up blacking out, with no recollection of the previous night’s events when she awoke in the hospital the next day.

22-year old Angela Torre was at the Ocean Manor Resort Hotel in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida on the 1st of July when she met up with Rodman, she said in the report. Torre claims she only had one drink and a shot after the group went up to a room in the hotel, but says she was apparently transported to the hospital after someone called for emergency services when she passed out in the hotel restaurant.

Although Rodman wasn’t named as a suspect for any wrongdoing, Torre says she believes she might have been drugged and is waiting on test results from the hospital. According to TMZ, doctors did not perform a rape kit when she arrived.

Rodman made headlines earlier this year with his support of and friendship with Kim Jung Un, and angered many when he spoke publicly about American prisoner Kenneth Bae, who was held in North Korea for “crimes against the state” and sentenced to 15 years of hard labor. Rodman reportedly spent time in rehab after a wave of backlash hit him and he turned to alcohol.

“Dennis Rodman could do a lot of good by advocating for Kenneth to Kim Jong-un, but instead he has decided to hurl outrageous accusations at my brother, insinuating that Kenneth has done something sinister,” Bae’s sister, Terri Chung, said in a statement. “He is clearly uninformed about Kenneth’s case, and he is certainly not in any position to pass judgment on Kenneth Bae, who has never any hostile intentions against the DPRK.”
